Hey there — I'm Juan. Need a hand around the house?

"The Best Handy Guys In The Biz" — a single-page neighbourhood handyman site for Juan B. Rivera. Brief: feel like the guy next door. Look like he answers the phone himself. Make paying him so easy nobody has an excuse to forget.

01 · The brief

A handyman site that doesn't sound like a contractor wrote it.

Juan's old card was on a corkboard in three diners around Stratford. People kept his number, lost his number, found it again. The brief: build a site that looks the way Juan actually talks — friendly, direct, a little bit corny — and make the two things people actually do (request a job, pay an invoice) impossible to miss.

No "values" page. No stock photo of a guy in a hard hat. The site is Juan, on the page, doing what he does.

03 · How it works

03

05 · The showpiece

The Lockdown — pay an invoice without leaving the site.

The right column on Juan's site is a "pay invoice" tile. Enter the amount, paste the invoice number, tap pay — Stripe Elements with full validation, lockdown styling that mimics a credit card, instant receipt by text.

The trick: people pay faster when the form looks like the thing they're holding. The whole flow lives on one route, never reloads, and works on a phone in a driveway.

06 · Stack & specs

Single page, real pages underneath.
